Host Responsibility
Our commitment to responsible gambling and the wellbeing of our guests.
Our commitment to responsible gambling and the wellbeing of our guests.
Coromandel Club is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable entertainment environment. We take our host responsibility obligations seriously, in compliance with New Zealand's Gambling Act 2003, the Gambling (Harm Reduction) Regulations, and the guidelines set by the Department of Internal Affairs.
Our goal is to ensure that casino entertainment remains a source of enjoyment and does not cause harm. Our trained staff are here to support a safe gaming experience for all guests.
Entry to the Casino Hall is restricted to adults aged 20 years and over, as required by New Zealand law. Valid photo identification is required at entry. Acceptable forms of identification include a New Zealand driver's licence, New Zealand passport, or an overseas passport. Guests who cannot provide valid identification will not be admitted to the casino floor.
We encourage all guests to gamble responsibly. Gambling should be treated as entertainment, not as a way to make money. We ask guests to consider the following:
All casino hall staff receive regular training in host responsibility practices, including identifying signs of problem gambling, intervening sensitively and appropriately, and directing guests to support services. A designated host responsibility officer is present on the gaming floor at all times during operating hours.
We offer a voluntary self-exclusion programme for guests who wish to restrict their access to the casino hall. Self-exclusion can be arranged for a defined period or indefinitely. To arrange self-exclusion, please speak confidentially with the floor host or reception manager. All self-exclusion requests are treated with discretion and respect.
Guests may set personal spending limits for their gaming sessions. Our staff can assist with this process. We also monitor gaming activity to identify patterns that may indicate gambling-related harm.
In accordance with our responsibilities under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, we monitor the consumption of alcohol on the gaming floor. Guests who appear intoxicated may be asked to leave the casino hall. Complimentary non-alcoholic refreshments are available at all times.
If you or someone you know is experiencing gambling-related harm, the following free and confidential services are available:
Information about these services is also displayed within the casino hall and available from any staff member.
If you have a concern about our host responsibility practices, please speak with the floor host, duty manager, or contact us by email at [email protected]. All concerns are taken seriously and reviewed promptly.
Coromandel Club operates under all applicable New Zealand legislation, including the Gambling Act 2003, the Gambling (Harm Reduction) Regulations, and conditions set by the Department of Internal Affairs. We cooperate fully with regulatory inspections and audits.
